General Information

Mrs. Huebner, Interventionist

I am responsible for identifying and serving students who qualify for Gifted and Talented, 6th Grade Advanced Math, intervention for students needing additional support in reading and/or math, Science Olympiad coordinator, and am the building assessment coordinator.

Here are a few interesting facts about me:

  • When I'm not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband and two daughters.  Our favorite family activities include playing basketball (especially the game "pig"), riding bikes, reading, and cooking or baking.  I also LOVE watching my daughters sporting events.
  • I am an avid sports fan!  Especially the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Cubs.  In fact, prior to teaching, I worked in marketing for the Minnesota Vikings.  SKOL Vikings!  Our family dog, Wrigley, is named after Wrigley Field!  Go, Cubs, Go!
  • I'm a Minnesota girl at heart and miss the amazing "10,000 lakes" in my home state.
  • I love to run marathons!  I have run the Twin Cities (Minneapolis & St. Paul, MN) and Grandma's (Duluth, MN).  In addition, I've run the Boston Marathon twice and the London Marathon. I will run my 13th (Twin Cities Marathon) and 14th (The New York City Marathon) marathons this school year!
  • I enjoy traveling with my family!

I can be reached via phone before and after school.  During lunch, I have recess duty so it can be difficult to reach me during that time period.  If you get into the answering system please leave me a message.  I will return your call as soon as possible.  I do often check my e-mail at home in the evening and will respond as quickly as I can. It is difficult for me to check my e-mail during the day as I am busy teaching or planning. I will do my best and check it daily at lunch.

The Bear-a-Thon News

Please see the link below to view the Bear-a-Thon News from the 2015 school year!  Last year's 4th and 5th Grade Gifted and Talented students worked very hard on the articles, graphs, and interviews for this Bear-a-Thon Newsletter.

The 2016 Bear-a-Thon is already underway and the students are simply amazing at the dedication and effort they show on running days.  For more information about the Bear-a-Thon or Fun Fit Bears, please see the main Broadmoor web site.
